1. Our promise

Naswarai is built with the belief that your conversations, cultural identity, and personal details deserve respect. We collect only what we need to serve you well, and we never sell your data to advertisers.

2. What we collect

When you create an account:

Your email address (for sign-in and account recovery)
Timestamps of when your account was created and when you last used the service

When you chat with Naswarai:

The messages you send
Naswarai's responses
Any personal facts you share (name, age range, gender, city, country, occupation, aspirations) — used to make Naswarai remember you across conversations
Things you ask Naswarai to keep in mind — what you are looking for or have to offer, such as a ride to another city, a flat to rent out, a vehicle for sale, or legal help with a visa matter. When you mention one, Naswarai asks whether you want it to keep an eye out, and records it only if you say yes: whether you are seeking or offering it, its category, and any detail, location, budget, and timing you give, linked to your account and the conversation where you said it. Only items you have said yes to are compared with what other people have asked Naswarai to keep in mind. The comparison is made by the same AI model that powers Naswarai, which reads the items and judges which genuinely fit, so matching needs can be found even when they are described in different words. You can see and remove each item in your account settings.
Matches — when someone else is offering what you are looking for, or looking for what you offer, we record the match, whether each of you has agreed to an introduction, and when you were told about it
Pictures of something you offer — if you choose to send them. Before we store a picture we remove its hidden information, such as the location where it was taken. We record whether each picture was accepted to be shown, and why not if it wasn't. Pictures that are not accepted are deleted straight away and never shown to anyone.
Files you share for Naswarai to read — documents (PDF, Word, text) and pictures or screenshots you attach to a message. From a document we keep only its text; the file itself is deleted as soon as the text has been read. Pictures are kept, with their hidden information (such as the location where they were taken) removed. These files are different from pictures of something you offer: they are seen only by you and Naswarai, never by anyone else, and never used for matching.
Messages you ask Naswarai to pass to someone you have been introduced to, and messages they send you
People you block, and reports you make about a match, including what you tell us happened
Message counts and cost tracking (for rate limits and billing where applicable)
Content moderation flags on messages (to ensure safety)

Automatically:

Basic technical data (browser type, timestamp of requests) — standard web logs

We do NOT collect:

Your location (unless you tell Naswarai your city)
Contacts, camera or microphone access, or any file from your device other than the ones you choose to attach
Advertising identifiers or tracking cookies from third parties
Your browsing history outside of Naswarai

3. How we use your data

To provide the service (respond to your messages)
To remember you across conversations (progressive profile)
To enforce safety systems (content moderation, rate limits)
To connect you with people who can help. When you ask Naswarai to keep something in mind, we compare it with what other users have asked Naswarai to keep in mind, and look for someone offering what you want or wanting what you offer. When we find one:
- Naswarai tells each of you, in conversation or by email, with a general description — for example the city, the kind of thing, the price range and how recently it was noted. It never shares a name, contact detail or anything meant to identify the other person.
- Your name and email address are shared with the other person only if both of you agree to the introduction. Nothing else from your profile or conversations is shared, ever.
- Either of you can decline, and the match ends.
To show what you offer. If you send pictures of something you offer, we store them and show them, inside Naswarai, to people matched with what you offer — before an introduction, so they can see it is real. Before any picture is shown, it is checked automatically. We never show pictures that are sexual, violent or illegal, or that show identity documents (such as passports, national ID cards, driving licences or Social Security cards), bank or payment cards, readable number plates that are not what you are offering, or someone's name together with their contact details or address. Your name, email and exact address are never shown alongside your pictures. Pictures are shown only to people matched with you, and never to anyone you have blocked or who has blocked you.
To read and help with files you share. When you attach a document or a picture, Naswarai reads it to help with what you asked — improving a CV, understanding a letter, filling in a form. These files are checked for illegal content before Naswarai reads them, but your own personal details in them are expected and never a reason to refuse them. When you send a picture while you have something on offer, Naswarai works out from the conversation whether it is a photo for your listing or something to look at, and asks you when it isn't clear. A document, a screenshot, or anything like a CV is never used as a listing photo.
To pass messages between people who have been introduced. After both of you agree to an introduction, either of you can ask Naswarai to pass a short message to the other. Messages are checked by the same safety system as chat messages, and delivered in the other person's next conversation, or by email if they have been away for more than an hour. Either of you can stop this at any time.
To keep people safe. You can block anyone you have been matched with, at any time; after that you are never matched again and no messages pass between you. Reports are reviewed by us. The person reported is not told who reported them.
To understand what our users are looking for, so we can learn which services our community needs
To improve Naswarai's quality (analyzing patterns of errors, not individual conversations)
To communicate with you about your account (sign-in emails, service updates)

4. Who we share data with

Current infrastructure providers

Naswarai currently uses these third-party services to operate:

Anthropic (AI model provider) — your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic also finds matches: the things people have asked Naswarai to keep in mind — whether each is sought or offered, its category, and any detail, location, budget and timing given — are sent to Anthropic's API to be compared. No names, email addresses or other profile details are sent for matching. Pictures you send, and messages you ask Naswarai to pass on, are also sent to Anthropic's API to be checked for safety before anyone else can see them. Documents and pictures you share for Naswarai to read are sent to Anthropic's API to be checked and read, including on later messages in the same conversation while they are kept. Anthropic does not train on your conversations. See Anthropic Privacy Policy.
Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) — stores your account, your conversations, the text of documents you share, and pictures you send, in private storage that nobody can open without a link we create for a match, valid for a few minutes. Data is encrypted at rest.
Vercel (hosting) — serves the web application to your browser. Standard web logs.
Cloudflare (DNS and DDoS protection) — routes traffic to Naswarai.
Resend (email delivery) — sends you sign-in links, service notifications, word of a match, introductions you and the other person have both agreed to, and messages passed on to you while you are away.
Sentry (error monitoring) — when something breaks, Sentry receives a report of what failed and where, so we can fix it. What you write and what Naswarai writes back is removed before anything is sent, along with request contents, cookies and your account details. Error reports from your browser are sent only from the chat and settings pages. See Sentry Privacy Policy.
Stripe (payment processing) — handles paid subscriptions. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by Naswarai; we keep only a Stripe customer and subscription reference on your account. See Stripe Privacy Policy.

Future planned integrations

As Naswarai grows, we may integrate additional third-party services to expand what Naswarai can help with. We will update this Privacy Policy and notify users before activating any new vendor. Categories we are considering include:

Customer support — e.g., Crisp, Front, Intercom, HelpScout
Additional AI providers — for specialized tasks, e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, Cohere, Mistral, xAI, Meta LLaMA, Perplexity

Listing a vendor here does not mean Naswarai currently uses them. It means we may consider them as the product evolves. Any actual integration will be reflected in an updated Privacy Policy with adequate notice.

We do NOT sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.

5. How long we keep data

Active accounts: we keep your data as long as your account is active
Things you ask Naswarai to keep in mind: we stop matching them 90 days after you mention them. After 30 days Naswarai asks whether they are still current; if you say yes, matching continues for another 90 days. You can remove any of them sooner from your account settings, which also ends any match based on it.
Pictures: kept while the thing you offer is kept. When you remove it, or delete your account, its pictures are deleted from storage, not just hidden. Pictures that are not accepted are deleted as soon as they are checked; we keep only a note that one was not accepted and why.
Files you share for Naswarai to read:the original document file is deleted as soon as its text has been read. The text, and any picture you shared, are deleted 30 days after you shared them — sooner if you remove them in your account settings or delete the conversation. Naswarai's replies are part of your conversation and are not deleted with the file: if a reply quoted or summarised a document or picture, that reply stays in the conversation, with what it said, until you delete the conversation or your account.
Passed-on messages: kept with the match they belong to, and deleted with it or with your account.
Reports: kept for review. If you delete your account, reports you made are deleted. If the person you reported deletes theirs, your report is kept without the link to them, so the review can finish.
Deleted accounts: your data is deleted within 30 days of your deletion request
Deletion records: When an account is deleted, we keep a record that the deletion was requested and completed, including the email address it related to. This is how we can show that we honoured the request.
Content moderation logs: kept for 12 months for safety review, then anonymized
Anonymized usage stats: retained indefinitely for product improvement

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate personal information
Delete your account and all associated data
Export your conversation history in a portable format
Object to specific uses of your data

You can exercise most of these yourself, at any time, from your account settings:

See the personal facts Naswarai has learned about you, and what you have told Naswarai you are looking for or offering
Remove any individual item you are looking for or offering
See and remove the files you have shared for Naswarai to read
Download a copy of your profile, every conversation and message, those items, your matches, your pictures, the files you have shared (their text, and pictures still kept), passed-on messages, and the blocks and reports you made, as a machine-readable JSON file
Delete your account — this takes effect immediately and permanently removes your profile, all of your conversations and messages, those items, your matches, your pictures and shared files (from storage as well), and passed-on messages

For anything the settings page cannot do — correcting inaccurate information, objecting to a use of your data, or if you cannot sign in — email privacy@naswar.ai. We respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and Row Level Security on our database to ensure users can only see their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take our responsibility seriously.

If we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by law.

8. Children's privacy

Naswarai is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

9. International users

Naswarai is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the service from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR, UK-GDPR, or CCPA. Contact us to exercise these rights.

10. Cookies and tracking

Naswarai uses only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies that track you across other websites.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Naswarai evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to your registered address, and by continuing to use Naswarai after such notice, you accept the updated policy.
